                           About the Founder

A native of Houston, Texas, LaTonya Davis is the founder and CEO of LaTonya Davis Consulting, LLC. She is the only practitioner whose intersection as a Christian, lawyer, K-12 education leader and Autism mom helped her become a top rated speaker and influential leader. LaTonya's work centers on building equitable experiences for Black students and Black employees.

LaTonya is an honors graduate of Bennett College (Historically Black College for women) and Jack Yates Senior High School, the same as fallen alum, Mr. George Floyd. In some circles she is called
Dr. Davis, but she prefers LaTonya as she builds bridges with people from all walks of life. Her career spans 20+ years from U.S. to Asia and Africa in spaces like Zimbabwe Women's Lawyers Association, Hong Kong's Women's Wealth Council, Congressional Black Caucus Foundation, the White House, Department of Labor, KIPP, and Boys and Girls Club.

Some of her awards include Outstanding Woman in Law Award, Civic Educator of the Year Award, and We the People Constitution Challenge Award and 2021 In Her Power Award. She has served on three boards and inducted into the Consortium of Doctorates, an organization for Black women that hold doctorates. In her daily life she homeschools and supports Autism families and writes The Equity Source Newsletter on LinkedIn that reaches over 1,000 readers weekly.

LaTonya's impact and advocacy has reached well over 77 million people and she enjoys bike riding and comedy.

Toward Equity Workshops

Most places start with diversity and inclusion, but they miss opportunities to address levels of racism and bias nor select African American women to help them inspect and develop their people, practices and policies. LaTonya developed signature workshops to help all lean in toward real equity.
